Hi,

I have been running standard Leopard on my Dell Inspiron 530 for quite some time now, the standard Leopard install I used was iATKOS V7 which practically did everything for me! All of the kexts for sound and graphics just worked.

Today I decided to take the plunge and attempt an upgrade to Snow Leopard, following Mattisz guide for Snow Leopard http://www.mattisz.com/hacks/snow-leopard-inspiron-530

Upon the install of Snow Leopard most things appear to be fine, but I have a problem with the resolution. I have a 1440 x 900 monitor and when I enter the display options I only have a choice of one (1024 x 768) which makes things look very stretched.

I have a ATI HD2400 Pro (problematic), and can't seem to get this working on Snow.

Other minor issues I have include:

Shutdown = Restart

Sleep crashes my machine.

When booting snow in verbose mode it also seems to hang on:

(AppleIntelCpuManagement) timed out

I couldn't find any information through searching the forum or google. Any help you could offer me would be greatly appreciated.

I have these same issues using a retail install.. I had my geforce 9600 GT working as your ATI is but that was resolved with the latest NVInject.kext at kexts.com

shutdown - restart

and sleep - causes external drives to disconnect improperly and graphics display jumbled.
