Hi. Has anyone encountered horizintal streak on the LCD monitor. It looks like rain but it goes horizontal. It would start at the bottom then go up then repeat like a Jacob's ladder.

Is this a monitor, a GPU or power problem? Never mind the other artifacts like the blackened sections on the screen (has to do with the camera's quality). Recommendations are welcome. It looks like this:

Thanks in advance. Gbu.

Hi. It's an external monitor with VGA connector. I figured it was the cable (I tested it with another VGA cable) of all things. Thanks. By the way if I'm gonna' replace the cable though I think the cable is still part of the warranty (though I may not have time to wait for the replacement coz' with warranties you have to give them the whole package with box), is there a cable that has a VGA at one end then the other end would be a Display Port so I don't have to use an DVI or HDMI adapter/dongle?

Thanks. Happy new year and merry Christmas.

There may be a DVI cable like that (probably not though) but there definitely is not a VGA cable like that. Looks like you're stuck with dongles for now!
