Sotirios Papakonstantinou
Hello! I have read in many places on the internet, that to install Snow Leopard on a PC you must copy the DVD to a USB Flash drive and then modify the boot loader etc etc. This involves using another Mac or Hackintosh for the process. I have one reasonable question for you: What if there is no other Mac available? This is the case for most of us PC Users that only have several PCs running some version of Windows and not a Mac. And we are those that we are likely to install Snow Leopard in a PC. All others would install it in their Mac, why bother with a PC! Are there any Windows utilities we can use? Installing Leopard first and then Snow Leopard isn't really the best option. Any hacked Snow Leopard DVD that works right away, as was the case with Leopard? This shouldn't be that difficult! All you have to do it copy back the modified USB Flash drive in a new DVD, right? I have currently installed MacDrive in my PC, so I can access Mac media. Pity there isn't a disk cloning utility I could use... Any other utilities for Windows? a hacked DVD would be the best option! What about dual boot with Windows? Is there a chain0 file or similar we can use with Windows Boot Loader? Nobody would want to wipe windows from their PCs! Thank you in advance. Sotirios Papakonstantinou
Something more specific? I don't have time to search all the threads. What Windows utilities I can use? What about a pre-hacked Snow Leopard DVD? Thank you in advance. What about cloning the prepared USB Flash drive into a DVD disc to create a pre-hacked disc, so us newbies don't have to bother with hacking? Pretending you didn't see the question doesn't solve the problem! At least admit it, I got you with this one Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/202247-how-to-install-snow-leopard-on-a-pc/#findComment-1364100 Share on other sites
