Installed once, success, second and on install, failure?

Hi,

 

I'm trying to install iDeneb 1.6 lite on my EEE Pc, 1005HA, I've been following these guides:

The first time I installed, it went fine, but as I was trying to get different hardware to work, I broke it, so I decided to reinstall. I chose a few different customize options, and when I went to boot the install, it stuck on:

 

[HCIController][configurePM] power parent ready after 1 tries
Still waiting for root device
Still waiting for root device

 

and the repeated line is repeated every few minutes.

 

I formatted the partition, and tried reinstalling SEVERAL times, with different customize options, including my original one, BUT, every time resulted in this same issue! It's a brand new hard drive (and Windows 7 is on another partition, and I can still boot it once I repair it's boot loader).

 

What could be wrong? Right now my mind is telling me bad sectors on the disk, but I don't think so...

i donno if this might be of any relevance but i faced the same issue..

i installed kalyway 10.5.1 and it worked but after a failed software update when i tried reinstaling it it wouldnt cross 'about 25mins left'..i kept trying but it showed different errors..(i even formated my hdd to the 32 hard one but it didnt help)

therefore i crossed my fingers,downloaded kalyway 10.5.2 and its working..

 

from what i think it may have stored the installation success somewhere and hence its best if you try a newer version..

also since you say you get the 'Still waiting for root device' error you must try booting without any other hdd attached..
