I tried to make this my own look using what parts I had already on hand.

Did use some help from here with the wiring of the back G5 fans that I relocated to the front of my case.

Here is a look at it...

Cool thing is it is dual mode OSX 10.6.2 and Win 7. The Hack is built off the Lifehacker specs, except different CPU, and Video card.

Take a look... If you click on the photos they zoom up for detail.

I like what you've done, merging two cases to get loads of hard drive mounts etc is a great idea. However, for the love of God, tidy up those cables!!! I don't think I've ever seen such a messy cable salad and it's not going to be doing your air flow any good! I'm guessing the main reason for the cable mess are the ATA drives with ATA->SATA adapters on since they need old school molex power connectors. It looks like you've got 680gb in ATA drives so if I were you, I'd get a 750GB drive ($70) or better and replace them all with that. You could probably make most of the cost back by just selling the SATA->ATA adapters on eBay.

Yes the extra power cables do create a mess. I have 1 SATA 320, 1 PATA 320, 1 PATA 200, 1 PATA 160.

I started with the 160 in 2005 and just keep buying a new drive each year. I added the 320 SATA and the SATA adapters when I went to the new MB in October to do this SL build.

That cables comment is the one eye sore I hear about.

Thanks
