'tiger-x86-flat.img', also known as 'deadmoo', also known as 'tiger-x86.tar.bz2' is a 6gb image of OSX already installed. You can use 'dd' to put it onto your hard disk, then you can use the 'Maxxuss' patch (search these forums) to get it to run everything stably. "tiger-x86-flat.img" is a copy of the hard disk (like a snapshot). You can't do a clean install with it. I installed "tiger-x86-flat.img" with maxxuss. I would be install this or marklar? Which is better, or stable, or more speed. I wanted to answer to paco and his "So, are identical?". Anyway, I think "Marklar Tiger" is the best, because it's untouched and clean, and surely easier to install. But it doesn't work on my computer One day I'll try the deadmoo. The developer dvd goes thru an installation, detecting things and such. The Image, on the other hand, is just copied there as if you'd installed it without going thru the install process, but not customized to your hardware like the DVD native install.
