Updating to 10.6.2

Hello guys, I'm very new to the OSx86 world, I used this guide and install Snow Leopard on my PC:

everything is working 100%, sound, network, hard drive show the correct icon, video card works with QE, etc.

Now I want to update to 10.6.2, or 10.6.1, how would I do this? If I update to either will I need to re-install anything? Thanks in advance guys!

For update to do click apple icon in the left upper corner and you have Software Update. Read this post from netkas.org: http://netkas.org/?p=315.

 

I had problem with my first update. I don`t have any problem when I updated but when reboot started Snow Leopard and finished with blank screen. I think the problem is that the update removed EFI String from /Volumes/SnowLeopardHD/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist. Then I configurated my video card with /Extra/DSDT.aml file and removed EFI String video. Then updated again and don´t have any problem. Other option, I don´t know, is to put EFI String in /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist.

I never had sleepenabler isn /system/library/extensions

 

so I installed 10.6.2, didn't reboot, and added the sleepenabled.kext, then rebooted. I get a kernal panic right away on restart for sleepenabler.kext

 

does anyone have the correct sleepenabler.kext so I can replace the one I currentley have?

 

 

 

 

 

 

woohoo, got it to work!

 

so this is what I did, Install 10.6.2 update, try to install sleepenabler.kext

 

for me it didn't install correctly, so reboot in safe mode.

 

using kext helper I installed the new sleepenabler.kext

 

reboot and no more kernal panic!
