olaeke
Hi, I have a Dell Optiplex 745, I had to install a Intel 82546EB gigabit PCI network card because there are no drivers for the onboard broadcom 5754 nic. Anyway, I have been running Leopard (10.5) for about a year now, with no problems at all. But today I did a clean install with Snow Leopard (10.6). Just as with 10.5, 10.6 have built in drivers for the Intel nic... But the network connection keeps dropping with 10.6 At boot, the network is up, but after receiving a couple of packets the connection dies. Network in "System settings" still reports the connection to be up though. Changing something in the settings so that I can press Apply makes the connection live for a short time again. Has anyone else had these problems? Are there any kext to download that fixes this? Or maybe even some way to get the BCM5754 up and running? Best regards and thanks in advance! /Ola
