But it seems to be confusing :-( Here's my situation: I've a windows vista home premium running machine (compal jhl 90 notebook) and a legally bought os x 10.6 snow leo dvd. How do I install that damn stuff into my notebook without already having mac os or hackintosh? Which way is the easiest one? I know it'll be difficult to help me out, but I'm new to mac and just want to try it out. Can anyone point me to a tutorial or give me step-by-step instruction without giving me wiki links where i have to read 3 subpages just to see at the end of the page I'm unable to do this? scwhar Posted December 7, 2009 Share Posted December 7, 2009 You need a boot CD which loads a few kexts for your hardware (important is only the chipset, GFX, sound etc can be fixed after install) before booting the retail disc. Can search and see if anyone here has shared one for your hardware or use Empire EFI.
