Hi all,

I read several postings about deleting /System/Library/Extensions/AppleTPMACPI.kext and /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHWSensor.kext to speed up booting process. What actually are these files ? Is it safe to delete it ? I'm on JaS 10.4.6, cannot find AppleTPMACPI.kext but there is AppleHWSensor.kext.

Thanks a lot

Using the instructions here : hxxp://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=15993&st=0&p=122755entry122755, end up with kernel panic, but the strange thing is I could enter -x mode (Thanks GOD!!) and just remove both /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache and /System/Library/Extensions.mkext, after that restart, and should login without a problem. So I summarize it here :

1. delete /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHWSensor.kext

2. just delete both /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache and Extensions.mkext

3. restart :)
