KeFfBoY
So as the newbie I am, I decided to go try a new kernel (The Voodoo 9.5 since it was recommended for fixing sleep issues) but it didn't work. Now I get kernel panic while booting, and I wonder how I can fix this. I didn't backup the kernel I had so I guess I have to find the vanilla kernel somewhere now. I tried to use the terminal after booting with the iDeneb dvd, and found some interesting things. There was one symbolic link in the /Volumes/OSX folder that pointed to mach_kernel.voodoo. There was also one mach_kernel.voodoo file and one called mach_kernel.original. so I removed the link, and created a new link that points to mach_kernel.original. This didnt help though. =( Anyone who could explain what I need to do? Thanks in advance! Lord_Jeremy
I guess you could theoretically pull a kernel from an OS install or update package. Though I agree with pdave a reinstall would be easiest. KeFfBoY
Managed to fix it I got a vanilla kernel and managed to copy if over to my disk and then just boot with it from chameleon. Afterwards when inside OSX I could easily restore the apple.Boot.list thing so that it defaulted the vanilla instead of voodoo(ohnokernel). Thanks for the answers anyway!
