Hi everyone. I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 on my PC and it works fine, (apart from having to install the USB fix and the resolution is stuck at 1024x768, but I know of a fix for that once I have upgraded to 10.5.6).

However, when I install the Kalyway 10.5.3 Combo Update downloaded from PirateBay, I get the grey screen telling me that I have to restart my computer, so of course I do and afterwards, my computer just hangs at the Apple loading screen.

I'm quite new to this, so I'm not entirely sure what to do about it. Could it be that my motherboard or processor is incompatible? I'm really at a loss as to what I should do. Below are my PC's specs, so if anyone has any ideas as to why this update keeps failing I'd love to hear them.

Processor: Pentium D 3.4GHz (I've checked on CPU-Z and it says that my CPU is SSE3)

Motherboard: ECS C19a SLI V1.0a

RAM: Generic RAM

Wireless USB WiFi Adapter: Belkin G+ MIMO

Video Card: nVidia 9500GT (BFGTech)

HDD: Hitatchi HDP725025GLA380

Optical Drive: Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-111D

I think those are all of my PC specs, if you need anything else let me know!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help given.

I'm not familiar with the Kalway 10.5.3 update, but do you know if it's installing the vanilla kernel? With a Pentium, you need a custom kernel, such as Voodoo. You also might try starting with a newer OS X release. Personally, I've had success with iAtkos v7.
