It wouldn't cause any damage to your system.. The worst that can happen is you'll loose all your files.. but other then that its all safe.. As for difficulty you should post your system specifications.. If you have a Core 2 Duo you should be fine.. but it will also depend on your on board graphics card.. pdave54
Backup anything you can't afford to lose ( everyone should do this regularly anyway) Get yourself an external drive, do your install on that. wont affect your present install> Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/200048-concern-about-installing-snow-leopard-on-pc/#findComment-1345847 Share on other sites
rajas
like everyone above said.. just backup your data to an external disk. if installing OS X was bad for your hardware, no one would do it in the first place :-) think about it. pdave54
As previously poster said a lot will depend on your video card/chipset. in windows you will find it in the device manager, or look via manufactures website Also google osx86 snow + [your laptop] see if others have had success Be prepared to read & research, its not like installing windows. Video, audio, network etc don't always work right away. rajas
video, audio & ethernet shouldn't be a problem. wifi card is not gonna work. so you may have to either replace it or use a usb wifi.
