adammw
Hi. I'm running Mac OS 10.5.0 on a Intel Core 2 Duo machine with a vanilla kernel, and I'm trying to figure out how to upgrade to 10.5.8. I've tried simply using the Apple Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update, but it freezes the computer at 18%, then when trying to start-up after pulling the plug, it gives an error and refuses to boot. I should mention that each time I've used a clean install, and haven't (manually - might have come with Kalyway) installed any other kexts. Which parts of the Upgrade to I have to remove or modify, or is there a patched update that is made to work perfectly on PCs? Thank you. Lord_Jeremy
Interesting. If I remember correctly, there's a special Kalway version of the updater that goes up to 10.5.3, and from there on you can use the Combo update. I'd use Google to find out more.
