dba137
So I finally installed iatkos v7 on my system(hp 1430us). The installation went surprisingly smooth. Was able to install on my first try and get it to boot(though the first time I did not check the right ps/2 drivers so I could not set up my system, so I had to reinstall checking the right drivers for mouse/keyboard). Only thing I had to figure out was how to get native res on my 4500 MHD. I did that however using a tutorial on this forum. I only have a few problems. 1. I have sound, but I can't change the volume, even when I put it on mute there is still sound coming out of the speakers. I think I have IDT audio 2. Sleep does not seem to work. So far using this machine for a couple of hours these are the only things I have found. I have not tested my CD/DVD drive yet and I have not tried to connect to ethernet(though I am able to connect via wi-fi to my network with no problems) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199645-finally-jumped-into-installing-leopard-but-a-few-problems/ Share on other sites
Lord_Jeremy
Right then. As far as I know your best bet to get sleep working is through a custom kernel. As for the sound, I have no idea. It's possible your sound driver doesn't fully support your hardware.
