Artmuzz
I had mentioned this a week ago and got a solution. Here it is... Quote: Quote: Hi Artmuzz, I have dual boot (Snow & Win 7) on one hackintosh. This is what I did. First I created 3 partition with GUID on Snow Installer and Installed Snow. On Snow I formated the future Win 7 partition with FAT. I let snow without installing a bootloader. Next proceeded to install Win 7 on the selected partition. Once installed Windows I used "diskpart" to set the efi partition as active. Then I used my Snow Installer to boot on Snow partition, and then finally installed Chameleon. Chameleon then recognizes and boot both operating systems. Good Luck. Greetings from Ecuador; Comodin. And I in my humble opinion, chameleon 2 RC3 is the best boot loader. Greetings from Ecuador. Comodin. bmttinman
I have a GA-EP45T-UD3P with ATI 4850 card with 5 hard drives 2-LG Blue-ray DVD and 8 GB of Ram and have found the following to be truth. If windows boot loader gets messed up put in windows 7 disk and Thru startup use instructions from"Recovering the Vista Bootloader from DVD-NeoSmart Technologies WikI' Sleep in Windows will not work with any bootloader and has to startup on its own to work. Chameleon 10.5 works if the extra files are right to boot SL 10.6.2 and Leopard 10.5.8 Windows will not sleep with Chameleon Linux Ubuntu 10.2(?) bootloader does not work with OSx86. Bootloader will show all but will not boot to OSx86. What is the whole point of the sleep function anyway? To save energy could I not just switch my computer off when I am not using it and when I use it I switch it on again considering I don't use my Hackintosh for the internet. I only use it when I need to use it for Video Production and Music Production. Artmuzz
Sleep in Windows will not work with any bootloader and has to startup on its own to work. Windows will not sleep with Chameleon I have managed to find a solution for Sleep problem in Windows 7 when booting with Chameleon 2 RC3. The solution is to select CMD as administrator in Windows 7 and type the following command.. "powercfg -h off" and press enter (This will disable hibernation) Now close CMD window and select Sleep and you will see that Sleep now works like a charm on Windows 7 Art Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199424-mac-os-snow-on-pc-with-windows-7/#findComment-1344791 Share on other sites
