as4m4df
No. Its not working. Whats suppose to happen is: 1. Update using combo update. 2. Install Legacy ATI kext (in /E/) 3. Install PC EFI 10.5 (replace existing boot file for chameleon) Thats it. Instead KP in x2000 kext. Using EvoEnabler + Modded Kext or Legacy kext results in garbled screen. So, does it work for you? If not what do we have in common? I have a Sapphire ATI Radeon HD4850. + Items in Sig Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199158-hd4850-snow-leopard-1062-is-it-working-for-you/ Share on other sites

scwhar
Works perfect here with XFX HD4850 dual DVI both working, using graphicsEnabler=y and manually altereed device id, I think I had to do something to ATI2000controller.kext on 10.6.2 update to escape blue screen but is perfect now, there is hope for you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199158-hd4850-snow-leopard-1062-is-it-working-for-you/#findComment-1340761 Share on other sites

bomsom
Not working for me too. I already had Netkas EFI 10.5 boot with GraphicsEnabler=yes, added dev-id to ATI4800 and removed ATI4500 and ATI4600 controllers but no luck. Got corrupted screen anyway. Installed old ATI4800 and ATIX2000... CS again. Replaced mach_kernel with 10.6.0, no luck. I give up... FOR NOW!! Reinstalled plain SL 10.6, and so far it's all working, sound, network and video with dual monitor (monitor + TV). Let's wait for a more stable solution. Alex HQuest
Unless you have a Dual DVI card, chances are your card may not work with default drivers. May work using old Leopard 32-bit kexts on Snow Leopard, but you will be then running a 32-bit OS.
