sev1972
hello all, I am running an Asus p5Q Deluxe with the Juzzi Modified Rom 2001. I have installed iAtkos (this very second!) and have repaired the permissions and rebooted the machine with -v In Yellow there are failed details and they read as thus: Failed to load exptension com.apple.driver.AppleAHCIPort. From Path: "uuid" Waiting for boot volume with UUID 0684654C-387E-37FC-B9E4-0C1724BE7A71 Waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1">IOResources</string><key>IOresourceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict> Couldn't alloc class "AppleAHCI" HDAEnabler: copyright © 2008 by Kabyl HDAEnabler: 05/05/2008 Added SPAudio support :Taruga Firewire (OHCI) Lucent ID 5811 PCI now active, GUID 001e8c00015dcbe4; max speed s400. ERROR: Firewire unable to determin security-mode; defaulting to full secure. Still waiting for root device When I leave the iAtkos disc in the dvd drive, it just starts the installer up again. Can anyone shed some light on what i'm doing wrong, or overlooking? Sorry to be so thick! (all drives set to AHCI, and ACPI 2.0 and ACPI support enabled in bios.) (I have tried to boot with Boot123 but with the same result, however under boot123 the system still fails to see my OSX retail disc!) Forceman
Try booting -v -f Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199085-iatkos-5-on-asus-p5q-deluxe-installation-where-am-i-going-wrong/#findComment-1339761 Share on other sites
sev1972
i'll do that right now... With boot123, it just hangs onto the grey apple screen with a box with a no-entry sign showing. When booting with the iAtkos CD, and -v -f I get the following: (the first time it just paused then booted the dvd again)... now the dialogue says this... jettisoning kernel linker localhost kextd(47); can't add repostory - not a directory and then goes on to say error (0x00000047) what follows is a couple of lines of text saying that it can't mount the volume, and then boots the dvd... i'll install again from the dvd and see what happens.
