bearses
Okay, I started a thread in the other forum, but it got buried, and had no replies, and I guess it's because it was in the wrong section. ;;; Anyway, I'm a OSX86 enthusiast, but when it comes to getting anything done, I'm still pretty inexperienced, having only had one successful install before. I could really use your guys help on this one. *crosses fingers* I'm building a computer with a $1,300 budget, and would like to go AMD if possible (cheaper/more power in the lower end), and I need some advice on choosing good hardware that is fully compatible with Snow Leopard. If you have the time, it would be much appreciated if you could list some parts according to how you yourself would put together a machine on this budget. Thanks in advance. Mushishi
Then you dont want to go with amd... if you want something that works well and easy to get working with snow leopard then go with intel cpu, intel chipset and nvidia gfx... Something like a Core 2 duo, p45 chipset and nvidia 9800 or gts250 gfx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199078-help-with-choosing-hardware/#findComment-1339726 Share on other sites
xjasx
don't go AMD, you'll have nothing but problems, can't use updates, can't run vanilla kernel intel cpu + intel chipset mobo + nvidia gfx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199078-help-with-choosing-hardware/#findComment-1339822 Share on other sites
