unorchestrated
Hello there. Thank you for looking at my post! I am wondering if someone would be able to help me diagnose/fix this problem i'm having installing Leopard on my machine. I've tried various install discs (Kalyway, iDeneb, IPC, etc.) without much luck. Currently I am trying to get iDeneb v1.6 to install on my laptop. The DVD boots fine, but when Leopard asks me to choose a destination for install, nothing appears. Also when I open up Disk Utility I still cannot see my HDD. After reading several forum posts and trying to figure out the cause, I have read that it might be a problem with my motherboard/chipset. Unfortunately I am fairly illiterate in computer hardware. I have an HP Pavilions dv2945se laptop, and the specs are listed below. Thank you very much for your time! Forceman
nForce chipsets are not very well supported so you'll be lucky to get it installed and working proper. Also IDE is not great either, SATA is the most supported. I read just now that Leo4all supports the chipset I have so I think i'm going to give that distro a try.
