pololebreton1
Hi Boot the first time manually with -X option Then get a soft called OSX86Tools (http://code.google.com/p/osx86tools/) and use this soft to add Flag, then you will be able to permanently have the -X flag during boot as it does modification in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist Regards, Polo Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/198877-noob-question-how-do-i-add-x-flag-into-chameleon-2-bootloader/#findComment-1338696 Share on other sites
Lord_Jeremy
If I remember correctly, the -X flag is for safe mode. Do you really want to be booting into safe mode every time? Doing so will seriously screw with your system. I recommend using that only as a stop-gap measure for finding what's wrong with the system and then correcting it. I'm going to guess that you have a video driver problem. Could you tell us what exactly what kind of video card you have, and what you've done to get it working? d3bugu
Hi guys, thanks for the reply. I've tried to install iatkos v7 and it solved everything except my ethernet card is not working but it works when i'm on iatkos v5.. Can I pop in iatkos v5 dvd and just install its driver while i'm running on v7? I know there are already guides running around in the forum, but just want to know if this dirty method works as well. Thanks! my onboard ethernet is Realtek 811B Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/198877-noob-question-how-do-i-add-x-flag-into-chameleon-2-bootloader/#findComment-1339378 Share on other sites
Lord_Jeremy
Yeah, you can install just that driver. You'll want a program called Pacifist (google it) to open up just that installer package. Make sure you rebuild the kext cache and repair permissions after completion.
