jpschoute
Hi, I have installed MACosX on my pc and now my girlfriend is in love with the operating system. She has a Shuttle SB81P Machine and so yesterday i tried to install it. This is what i did: - Installed acro.... boot program - Partitioned a 20 gb for macosx - enabled the acro... boot program - rebooted and install macosx with Goatsecx 10.4.6 install dvd. She has a SSE3 intel p4 processor so i enabled the sse3 only patch (i did a standard also to check) - when install in finished i get the round apple busy logo thing, which just keeps spinning. - i had to hardcore shutdown the pc, and therefor get no further install of MACosX. Anyone know ? CHEERZ from holland Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19857-install-on-girlfriends-shuttle-sb81p-install-prob/ Share on other sites
Layer3
sounds like a hard drive problem. what kind of drive does she have ? ATA, SATA? Have you tryed swaping out your drive and seeing if it works in her's. Give it a try and update us. Good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19857-install-on-girlfriends-shuttle-sb81p-install-prob/#findComment-131613 Share on other sites
Rammjet
When you "Partitioned a 20 gb for macosx", was the partition a "primary" partition and did you set it "active" in Acronis? Also, is the hard drive primary master and the optical drive primary slave (no cable select)?
