agentdangermouse
Anyway so i know there are 1000 guides and 1 million posts about this, but i have not found a single post for my special situation. So i have the Empire EFI latest version with EX58 motherboard updates ready to go.. Firstly i already have an existing Windows 7 installaton on ntfs partition. I want to make this a dual boot scenario so i have a boot menu that allows me to run Win7 or Mac. The thing is not many people mention the use of this Empire EFI i dont have chameleon and those other discs this Empire thing is suppose to be an all in one solution i think. I need some help on getting this going. Some things id like help on and also some clear guides on how to get them fixed. 1. Mac OSX does not see my MBR win7 partition, how can i get this recognised ? otherwise i think its possible to install to a second usb harddrive making the partition GUID and installing the mac on that which i know works. 2. If i do infact install to an external harddrive, i heard there is a way to clone that drive and dump it to a second partition on my pc Win7 partition, how do i go about this ? 3. Once i have that done and both OS's on both Partitions i need some help getting the Bootloader going, whats the best to use for my scenario Acronis Boot Selector ???, Darwin ???, etc..etc... some clear instructions on this would be great also. Hope someone can shed some light on this. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/198209-dual-boot-win7-mac-osx-help/ Share on other sites
Prasys
Empire doesn't support MBR , to install MBR - you gotta create your own a la carte usb stick.
