I installed the iPC 10.5.6 install and everything seemed to work fine. I updated recently to 10.5.7 and now USB drives don't seem to appear in Finder. Using the Performance Utility and USB Prober I can see the devices connected to the USB bus (USB drive, etc.), but they don't show up in Finder. I've tried installing various osx86 patches (USBMountFix) but still nothing in Finder.

Anyone got any ideas on what I'm missing?

It is a classic error, If your USB deices are there when you start your machine with them plugged in, but don't mount when you add them later, it means that your system.kext does not match the version of your mach_kernel! Next you might find that when you open DMG's or PKG's you will get a KP, this will be because your seatbelt.kext also does not match the version of the kernel..

@Chrisb27, Instead of critisizing, why don't you help!!!

(see, now that wasn't to hard was it? :) )

The right forum?

I see that makes sense. Is there any way to 'update' my system.kext, etc. to make the kernel? I assume the 10.5.7 upgrade changed some but I don't know which.
