akripo
Hi to all I have an old scsi controller adaptec 2940AU and I want to find a driver for my osx 10.5.6 installation. I performed a lot of search and I guess that I need to find the file 78XXSCSI.kext for that purpose. I have googled the whole internet and the only file I cannot find is the 78XXSCSI.kext or 78XXSCSI.kext.zip or 78XXSCSI.kext.sitx or 78XXSCSI.kext.gz or ........ ........ Please could you provide me a link in order to download this 78XXSCSI.kext or suggest me any other driver in order to make this scsi controller work? Thank you all for your time. BarryiPC
I finally found the Adaptec78XXSCSI.kext from a torrent (tiger-x86.tar.bz2) Well done! I've been looking everywhere to find some form of driver for my AHA-2940UW. If you manage to get it working, please let me know how and if I beat you to it, I'll make sure I let you know. If you can let me know where you found the kext file, that would be great. Good luck with your SCSI card! Barry.
vladthebad
it hasn't worked since something like 10.4.3..... Just get an LSI 20320, 21320 or 22320 card...... they have the LSI 53c1030 chip on them. It works out of the box in OSX. Its even bootable.
