I went through the tutorial here (http://www.insanelymac.com/2009/09/install-snow-leopard-106-on-amd-pc-hackintosh/) but ran in to two problems. The first problem is that when I open the efistudio it only gives me a small list of nvidia cards, and the onboard 780a graphics (which I believe is an 8200) is not one of them. If I skip that step, then proceed with the rest of it, when I boot, it will either freeze on the apple screen or if I use the -v boot flag it will load the files then the screen will go black. Has anyone else done this on a foxconn destroyer or any 780a motherboard for that matter? If it helps, the system is this:

Foxconn destroyer

Phenom 9950BE

8GB DDR2 800

WD mybook HDD (external, eSATA)

I have set the eSATA and internal SATA to AHCI mode already.

Hi mattventura,

I am trying to install snow on a similar machine. Mine is a MSI K9N2 Diamond with the same chipset Nvidia 780a with AMD Phenom X4 9850 BE with 4GB DDR2 RAM. The answer is to use legacy kernel, myhack PC-EFI10.5 aserebln or chameleon rc3. install the required from a working leopard install and also use EFI studio v1.0 to find your graphics card.

The problem I'm getting is once the dsmos is arrived NVEthernet is loaded and ACPI SMC is initialised it does not load further it's just stuck in the kernel output screen.

Another AMD machine Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DS5 Athlon X2 7750 (K10) AM2+ 2GB DDR2 RAM is working great with nawcom kernel 10.3.0 and has snow leopard 10.6.3 all up to date. big thanks to nawcom

Regards,

Ash
