taduyducvn
I have no DVD, no working mac, no diskUtils... I have windows 7 and a 8GB USB and SnowLeopard DMG question... is there anyway i can start with this setup? i've been googling all around and have no answer, and now, im lack of keywords and hope For my understanding, somehow, i must put the data of the DMG into USB. but how is it possible PS: if you have mac already (to put DMG to USB) then what is the point of this installation Thank you so much Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/197623-insanely-need-help/ Share on other sites

I got my first Hackintosh going from a pure Windows environment but I had a retail version of Snow Leopard install DVD. I downloaded a boot132 ISO image specific to my motherboard and created a bootable DVD disk. I booted from that disk and that allowed me to exchange the Snow Leopard DVD and do the installation. The problem that you are going to have I think is whether or not, after booting from the Boot132 disk, you can select the bootable image on the USB drive. But the USB drive is going to have to be formatted as a Mac disk I think. Your alternative, if you have a DVD RW in your machine is to buy a dual layer DVD-R disk and burn the Snow Leopard .dmg onto that. Not sure what utility in Windows allows you to do that but Google may turn something up. Hope that gets you headed in the right direction anyways.
