wakasaki
just bought one of these because according to the wiki page they simply work with no messing, Im on 10.5.8 i plugged the card in and it wasnt recognised, doesnt show up in system profiler, have tried installing AtherosFix.kext and I080211Family.kext but still don't see it. The card defimately works as I have installed in vista. Help would be much appreciated...cheers! shine-away
I'm about to purchase one of these cards due to my Belkin F5D7001 doing exactly the same, connecting ok, but after a while it disconnects and requires reboot to find any networks and connect again. Seems this could be a software/mac issue. Check Applications >> Utilities >> Console >> system.log (at side), and see if it says anything when it disconnects like mine does. @wakasaki; you may need to add the device id's to the Info.plist in the kext. What version of Mac are you running? merrick_drfc
10.5.8...I have tried that, changed to 29 which is my device ID shows as, but have tried others like 23, but still no luck, gonna have another mess with it tonight though I've got the exact same problem as you but my card is the TP-Link WN951N, it does it on Snow Leopard 10.6 - 10.6.4 and also 10.5.8 I can't solve it at all. Have you made any progress?
