wangli01
Hello, I have read some threads about installing mac in PC. I have iPc osx86 10.5.6 ppf5 universal final and I have some questions about it. I'll use this guide to install it and here are the specs. http://tgrounds.blogspot.com/2009/04/leopa...on-your-pc.html Acer aspire 5630 Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5200 Processor chipset: Mobile Intel Calistoga i945PM Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GO 7500 (256MB) Sound card: Realtek ALC883 @ Intel 82801GBM Wireless: Intel 3945ABG LAN: Broadcom Netxtreme BCM4401-BO 1- Which kernels do I have to choose during the installation? 2- Some hardware are not in the list. Do I have to choose something in the list in order to make it work? Per example, my graphic card is not on the list. I see NVinject and NVdarwin. 3- Are the "Applications" necessary? (EFI studio, OSX86 tools utility, ect)? Same as "Fix and Patches". Thank you. Krishna21
Here. A guide (Magical): The distro you will need: iPC OSx86 Universal What to select during installation: Kernels - Don't select anything, your laptop needs the Vanilla kernel, which is automatically installed. Video Drivers - Select NVInject GO 0.2.0 Default Audio Drivers - Realtek - ALCxxx- Select ALC883 Wireless - Wireless Drivers - Select Intel PROSet/Wireless 3945 Ethernet - Still awaiting a fix, Sorry. Just use wireless internet. Fixes and Patches - AppleSMBIOSPatch - PS/2 Device Support - Select PS/2 Keyboard and PS/2 Mouse fix when installing. For SMBIOSPatch, there will be many options. It will range from AppleSMBIOSPatch XXX-XXX. The three X's will be represented by the speed of your RAM. For example, if you have 2GB DDR2 800 RAM, you would select AppleSMBIOS-27 Rev3 800. If you can provide me the RAM info, I can tell you which one you need. Applications - EFI Studio - After installation you open this up, select your video card, and it will show a string, click Import and apply. This will tone your video resolution. OSx86 Tools Utility - Helpful to do things like repairing permissions and installing kexts. Kext Helper b7 - This is to install kexts. After all that is selected, click Install and give the thing a go! wangli01
Thanks for the help. I successfully installed it. But, for some reason, my system boots so slowly. It stays in the BIOS page (ACER LOGO - press F8 for ....) for like 2 minutes. When I choose my Windows, it's slower than usual. It's weird because I installed Mac OSX in an external hard drive.
