d3xmeister
Now that 10.6 is out and no distribution like iatkos or ideneb, i have installed 10.6 from a retail dvd. The only problem is that i cannot make a DSDT for my motherboard. I tried lots of tutorials, after one month of trying I just give up. Can anyone provide me with a DSDT.aml for 10.6 for Abit IX38 QuadGT ? I will apreciate, I know there are many users with this motherboard outhere. Thank you ! hedelina
Yep, here's another fella with the the same motherboard. I'm currently still on 10.5, in much need of some 10.6 guidance. Any help would be appreciated! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/197146-help-with-abit-ix38-motherboard/#findComment-1336307 Share on other sites
d3xmeister
I used RebelEFI 1.5 to boot, then I inserted the retail DVD of Snow Leopard. After installation I installed with KextHelper the kexts attached below, added Efi strigs for Ethernet and Video Card (I used EFI Studio), than installed Chameleon 2 RC3. Note that I don't use onboard audio, I have a M-Audio Fast Track Pro USB. Only problem is that BIOS resets so I now use a DSDT.aml from Abit IP35 PRO Motherboard, but that means I loose Firewire and I need that. So , please somebody help us by providing a good DSDT.aml for Abit IX38 Quad GT.
