Finally after days of research and trial I have succeeded in making my Wi-Fi card work (Atheros 5007EG) on Mac OS X 10.5.8 using the iDeneb distro.

To make it work is pretty simple, just follow these few steps and you will get it working in no time.

Steps:

1-Download and install the Atheros 5007EG drivers in the attachments below, then reboot your machine. You should now see a "fan" icon in your status bar.

2-Download KisMac.

3-Open up KisMac, go to preferences and add “Airport Extreme passive”. Now scan you should see some networks.

4-Close Kismac, open the Airport Utility, choose your network.

5-Enjoy Atheros on Mac .

Hope this helps,

Xandu.
