smcbuki
Hello everyone! Is there a way to "ghost" or on any other way make an image of my 10.6.x partition, so I can paste it back on my hdd in case something goes wrong? eject
you can either do it in terminal with apple software restore (asr) it follows this syntax (you can use the names or disk numbers ) asr -source /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/ -target /Volumes/backup -erase -noprompt or with carbon copy cloner wich is a graphical interface for actually the same thing Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/197030-ghosting-perfect-snow-leopard-installation/#findComment-1327040 Share on other sites
neil43
Don't over look the capability of Disk Utility. You can create a compressed disk image of your partition in short order. Then use Disk Utility to restore to same or other disk whenever. neil Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/197030-ghosting-perfect-snow-leopard-installation/#findComment-1327502 Share on other sites
