JCollins6695
I have a Nc6000 and I am trying to install JaS 10.5.4 (I used a tutorial from this website on how to install.) After installing the next boot up I get a kernel panic about appleintelCPUmanagement.kext, After googling it I found that I need to install Disabler.kext but I have NO IDEA on how to install it, nor how to put it on the ISO (I do have a linux live cd, if that helps) Help? EDIT: Specs. 1.7Ghz Pentium M Processer 512 Mb Ram Ati Mobility radeon 9600 40 gig hd Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/196980-appleintelcpumanagementkext-help/ Share on other sites
BatcOuntrY
I have never used any of the non retail installation DVD's but generally after installation you have to boot from the installation cd/dvd the first time and you will have the option to choose the hard drive partition. Then once you are in the OS you will either add the disabler.kext using a kext helper program (the easiest way, I use kext helper b7) or you can even delete the applecpupowermanagment kexts either way you will then want to add something like voodoopower. HTH Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/196980-appleintelcpumanagementkext-help/#findComment-1326749 Share on other sites

HTH I have already installed. After The Installation finishes it boots up and I get a kernel panic (appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext) I can't use kext helper because I can not access the OS. BatcOuntrY
What are your system specs? Have you tried using -x -f -v to boot up? You might want to try booting using one of the 132mars boot cd's or something similar that can get you access to the installation.
