CHANGED SOME STUFF... can anyone give advice on this build? Thanks!

This is my proposed build for my Hackintosh. Could someone tell me if this will work? I'll be usin Retail Snow Leopard and Chameleon BL. I can use OSx86-Tools should the need arise. I specifically need the Ethernet and Audio on-board work, and of course the Graphics Card. The KVM is irrelevant =-) The DVD and Hard Drive are both, as you can see, SATA, so they ought to work, eh? Thanks for helping a Hac noob!

Iin my experience, just double check that board on these forums, look for kexts that you may need (if any) and buy a copy of Snow Leo, and you should be able to run vanilla with Chamelion 2 RC3 (most current at time of posting or better). Good luck, and feel free to PM or IM me if you need any help!

Overall build looks pretty good. Motherboard is supported without much issue.

Do have a couple thoughts you might want to consider.

1. That case only allows for low profile cards. Regular full height video cards (or other pci cards) will not fit.

2. I noticed you switched from a 9500GT to a low profile 8400 card. Personally I wouldn't consider anything less than a 9400GT. Apple doesn't ship any current machine with anything lower and neither should you. Going forward the 8400 is dead technology. Won't support OpenCL in Snow Leopard. Even if

games are of no concern, I would still pony up a few more $$ for the better video card.

Here is a low profile capable 9500GT:

3. Noticed you picked 2 1 gigabyte dimms for a total of 2 gigs ram. Personally I would just buy a single 2 GB dimm that way down the road when you want to go to 4 gigs you don't have to lose your investment you already made in ram. Since you only have 2 dimm memory sockets, you gotta make each one count. Or better yet just go straight to 4 gigs (2x2) if its in the budget.

One other thing. I noticed that case had tons of complaints about the power supply kicking the bucket. Since it uses some wacky TFX variant, getting a replacement psu could be a pain in the ass. Combine that with the low profile video card issue and you might want to consider just going to a mATX case that uses standard ATX power supplies and can use full size cards. Something to consider.

Just curious, why that case? It's thin, but it seems overly deep to compensate. It looks like an absolute PITA to work inside. Read the user reviews, lots of complaints about the crappy PSU. I wouldn't trust any components I actually cared about keeping for any length of time with that. 275W is too anemic anyway- and worst of all, it uses a non-standard PSU size you'll have a harder time replacing. Maybe consider a microATX mini tower with a more standard layout and a decent PSU that will save you later spells of wanting to pull your hair out.
