Gerrit
Hey there. It´s the discontinued 945GM2-FI in µATX form factor from MSI. 945G chipset, Realtek ALC880 Sound, Realtek RTL8110S NIC and VIA 6307 firewire. The complete specs can be found here: 945GM2-FI Is there anything that won´t work with OS X? I think I read about sound & nic working, not sure about FW and SATA because I´m going to buy a new SATA DVD-Burner and Harddisc too. bofors
The 10.4.5 HCL reports that the VIA 6307 Firewire does not work on the MSI 915GM4-FI: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.4.5 I am not sure if anyone here is using an SATA DVD-burner, that might give you problems with OSx86. I would avoid it. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19661-msi-%C2%B5atx-w-945-chipset-945gm2-fi/#findComment-128922 Share on other sites
Gerrit
Hm, sounds fine. FW isn´t really essential and I can always buy a FW card if I really need it. @DVD-Burner Then I´m going with the 7€ cheaper Samsung burner (SH-S162L) with Lightscribe Or I try the SATA one first and if it doesn´t work I´ll return it and buy the Samsung.
