I read several discussions regarding the netbook MSI Wind U100 and graphics problems that there are no QE / QI and a resolution of 800x600! Foxic Posted August 18, 2011 Share Posted August 18, 2011 GMA950 0x27ae should work beautifully, though you will have to add the 0x27ae device id to the GMA950 kext in S/L/E. I changed every instance of 0x27a2 to 0x27ae and it worked fine. motur Posted September 4, 2011 Share Posted September 4, 2011 I solved this problem upgrading the Bios from 1.09 to 1.0G... When you boot up, after appearing the grey apple loading screen with a grey background, your screen might turn Black and after that, it appears in 800x600 or the correct resolution: 1024x600....(this is what used to do my wind with the 1.09 Bios) I have had this problem for months, and I tried to install Mac Os x Iatkos v3 s2 with different bootloader parametres.... and the issue didn´t stop. Recently, I changed my Bios to the last version, and it is much better, I haven´t get to 800x600 in the bootup anymore, I think this last Bios has a better performance and solves the problem. If you had any question, you can ask me how to upgrade the bios. I'm sure you have an old Bios version.
