Hey,

Looking for some advice on this issue. I have two separate HDs; one is running Windows 7 (which I most recently installed), working fine, no problems - the second has two partitions; one is a Vista install which is now broken (I can't boot into) and the second is OSX 10.5.8. I was using a chameleon bootloader until I installed Win7 and it was apparently deleted. The OSX volume was also working flawlessly until I installed Win7. Now, when I try to boot from the Vista/OSX HD, it loads the failed Vista install instead of the OSX.

My question is, how can I get my machine to recognize both Win7 and OSX? I am fine with having to select the proper HD from the boot list. Do I need to format the failed Vista partition (I would have already tried this, I just have a large number of files to back up on the drive) so that the machine will recognize and boot into OSX? Can I get rid of the Vista files without formatting?

Thanks in advance for any help.
