Hey guys, i successful updated to snow leopard from my previous leopard installation using the usb method.

I am now into leopard, ethernet, sound, and video working fine, although. theres a slight bug with the sound, whenever i try to put it down, it dosn't move, or just flings back up. does anyone have any idea what this is?

Also, im thinking about updating to 10.6.1 is there a disabler and .dsmos kext for snow leopard like in leopard and where can i find them?

Thanks

First, you can update to 10.6.1 without doing anything special. As for updates after 10.6.1, we don't know yet.

yes there is a disabler. I think qoopz kernel has it built in as well

and you would be using fakesmc, not dsmos

  • smc version (of of smc keys) increased to 1.30f3 to prevent os suggesting to update smc fw
  • implemented new smc features - write key, get key by index, get key type, keys writen to database of fakesmc kext will be saved until reboot.
  • smc-compatible value can be changed in Info.plist

Thanks for your speedy reply mate, i have just installed qoopz kernel, and i have to say. it's alot faster then modbins.test7.

I realised i have fakesmc in /Snow/Extra/Extensions, this sound bug is annoying me though, i just can't seem to find the fault. it's a usb to audio, as the ALC662 dosn't work on my Asrock motherboard, no matter what i try.
