allenwkk Posted November 5, 2009 Share Posted November 5, 2009 I have been encountering beach ball or KP ... and I know it is due to using the 10.5.8 IOATAFamily.kext . It works but not perfect... Thanks to SLice (http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=676&st=0) he recomplied Leopard and corrected it to SNOW.... It works beatifully...... my system Pentium D 3.2G, 4 G ram, 945 Chipset, dual DVI monitor with 9800GT graphic card....Dell Dimension 9150 motherboard. Squirrelf Posted November 7, 2009 Share Posted November 7, 2009 did not work on my shuttle k48 (ich7) for now I use another one in 32bit, but I now suspect it is the reason the beach ball is often here, has ide HD and ide DVD drive because I have another identical box that works perfectly well and the only difference is that it uses a sata HD instead of IDE Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
