djole90
Hello, I found on Internet "XxX OSx86 10.5.6 Universal Final v2 incl.PPF1" but I cant install this on my laptop MSI VR630x. This is last what I see. Loading HFS+ File: [/system/Library/Extensions.mkext from 4230a80] When I boot DVD disc in my desktop PC installer loads without any problems. What I can do to install leopard on my laptop? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/195820-im-unable-to-install-macos-on-my-laptop/ Share on other sites
vilpostus
Use a boot flags. begin with -v. This will display boot messages so lets you see where and why it has stopped. Be sure that the install disk you are using has voodoo kernel. Boot with it using boot flag again -v voodoo. djole90
Sorry I'm mac newbie On first screen of installation disc when I press F8, there is something like console. On line where is "boot:" I tried to type -v and press enter and -v voodoo. In both cases I cant see error log or something like that, just Loading HFS+ File: [/system/Library/Extensions.mkext from 4230a80] as before Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/195820-im-unable-to-install-macos-on-my-laptop/#findComment-1320407 Share on other sites
vilpostus
You should try a less exotic stuff, like Kalyway 10.5.1... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/195820-im-unable-to-install-macos-on-my-laptop/#findComment-1320435 Share on other sites
djole90
Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD Intel_Amd (sse2/sse3) EFI V8 is not good. With this edition I see blue text and after that computer gets rebooted. Also -v boot flag don't change anything. I'll download later Kalyway 10.5.1 but I'm afraid that mac os cant run on my laptop. vilpostus
Let me remind you about BIOS settings. Be really sure to check them. Also: Use boot flags -v voodoo maxmem=2048 busratio=20 cpus=1 noapic -v -verbose mode (displays boot messages; for diagnostic purpose) voodoo - boots voodoo kernel (a voodoo kernel must be present on an install disk, otherwise the flag is useless) maxmem=2048 - forces to use 2Gb of RAM instead of all available (may be useful then booting with full memory enabled, doesn't work) busratio - useful for AMD CPUs cpus=1 - forces to use only one core of all available (useful then OS X doesn't boot with all cores enabled) noapic - disables IO-APIC Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/195820-im-unable-to-install-macos-on-my-laptop/#findComment-1321080 Share on other sites
