hello. i have a problem with osx86 iPC 10.5.6.

i finished installing it but when i boot i use the -v -f commands and then it stops at still waiting for root device. i have read many tutorals on how to fix this but they dont make sense...i need a guide that is as beginner friendly as possible. . i have an insignia d400a with p4 procosser. ive installed linux (which is similar to UNIX) so idk why this is a problem. please somebody help. i need iLife!!! lol

I have faced this problem too. But for this, what I did was, I saw the messages while OSX installs. What drivers does it select while installing. Please check if you have ACPI enabled while installing. Next 2-3 messages while you were installing would also help you. Another reason could be a mouse or keyboard. PS2 mouse & keyboard generally give problems. Use USB mouse and keyboard. Do not select everything!!!! it gives traceback. You would need to do some try and error to get it right. After installation you can preserve the /var/log/install.log which contains what you have selected at the time of installation
