Hey schwerin moses,

I was reading your thread and it looks like you are having some trouble setting your Hackintosh up. Well I will try and steer you in the right direction, hope this helps.

You have a Gigabyte Board which is good. There is much support for Gigabyte Boards in the Insanely Mac Community.

Your board is the GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L LGA 775, my board is the Gigabyte EP45C-UD3R.

I looked at the specs on both of these boards from Newegg and the main difference is the Chipset being used. I think you still might be able to follow the same guide I used to get your Hackintosh working. So here we go. I am listing below how I would go about getting it working, you can take it or leave it, just some advise for whatever it is worth.

1. Do a retail install of Snow Leopard. Also, I don't having anything against torrents, I use them myself but Mac OS X is only 29 dollars, supporting Apple this way seems right, just my own thoughts for what it is worth.

2. Follow this thread here and see if you can get it working.

One of the main difference you will see is that your machine has the different chipset and yours processor is a dual core not a quad core like mine. However, if you can get it up and running using this thread there are tools where you can custom edit your DSDT file and also you could create your own custom Boot CD once you got up and running.

Try the thread and see what happens. If you have further questions, post them on my thread since I check that ever so often and I will try to answer them.

P.S.

Here is another thread that has my board but I think he is using a Dual Core Processor as your is. You can check it out too.
