hurricanechristian
hi guys, ran into a bit of trouble. installed vista on my imac and inadvertidly deleted over the efi partion now vista is onlything on here. so ive got an imac core duo running nothing but vista. novelty wore off, now im trying to re install osx. put the cd's in, the boot camp menu is gone, this was expected seein as the efi partition is gone, but what was unexpected was that i cant boot the cd's, have tried the usual tricks such as holding down c. and even tried shift, command, option backspace and that didnt work. anyways im stuck. any takers? hope someone can help. thanks christian Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19533-help-cannot-boot-osx-install-cd-on-imac/ Share on other sites
U.C.
Call up apple. Remove some essential OSX files. For example mach_kernel. Just tell em your iMac wont bootup. Dont say about what u did. Just say one fine day it wouldnot bootup.
