osx86guy
hi guys, i have a gateway dx4720-01h with following specs: Intel Quad core Q8200 processor MSI MS-7399 Gateway customized motherboard using current bios and MCP 73 (nvidia 630i/7100 chipset ATI Radeon 3650 pcie video card 4gb ram 1 1TB Hard drive SATA 1 750GB Hard drive also SATA 1 IDE DVD burner (thats what i use to boot into the installer) 1 Sata dvd burne built in sound, ethernet, firewire I can boot into the operating system installer fine, however when it comes to the point after choosing the language and reading the EULA, it asks where to install and then doesn't show any hard drive choices at all. How do I fix this? I'm trying to install iDeneb 1.5.1 (10.5.7). will also try to burn the iATKOS iso i downloaded and the snow leopard one i downloaded too. one of these hopefully will work! Otherwise, please help me! Also note - I have no features in bios to change my SATA controller. I can only change it on and off raid. I can only assume that AHCI support is enabled. vilpostus
Use a Disk Utility inside the installer to create an OS X target partition (hfs+ journaled). Then it should show up. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=167180 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/195252-cannot-see-my-sata-drives-during-ideneb-1057-install/#findComment-1316334 Share on other sites

vilpostus
Check the link provided. It should help you to solve the problem. Just read it carefully. You have problems with an on-board disk controller (nForce).
