TheDon Posted October 31, 2009 Share Posted October 31, 2009 Im stuck at 10.5.6. I originally started with iatkos v1 and 10.5.1. Im good at keeping a backup of my setup so everytime Ive upgraded it was easy following the instructions on here. I got all the good stuff, sound, bluetooth, network, and qe/ci on my nvidia card. But when I tried to do 10.5.8, it crashed. And when I went to 10.5.7 it booted up fine at first, then I went to get safari and the first reboot after, it crashed. It did boot up in safe mode. But in my attempts to fix, it crashed even harder. Is there a way to at least get to 10.5.7 so I can do itunes with itunes store. TheDon Posted November 9, 2009 Author Share Posted November 9, 2009 It seems like at work I cant post on Insanely Mac. I thought the board was blocking my posts or something but I think its just at work. But I eventually got the update to work. I basically updated to 10.5.7 and the only that I lost was sound and keyboard/trakpad. Then I found the voodoo trakpad install and I used my old kext for sound from my extensions backup. Originally I had lots of problems because I was replacing the kext that I always replaced on each upgrade. This time I didnt have to. I just had to fix the keyboard with a download.
