Kidfork Posted October 31, 2009 Share Posted October 31, 2009 Okay So I have attempted two install OSX86 with two distributions both Kaylway 10.5.2 and iDeneb 10.5.8 Lite and both gotten the same error. the installation is Flawless but when i get to boot i get: panic(cpu 1 caller 0x001B3E17): "Local APIC Error (more on Photo) My Computer is a HP Pavilion dv6-1352dx 4GB DDR3 Intel core 2 Duo Processor 2.2GHZ T66000 2MB L2 CACHE Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD 250GB SATA All Help is apreciated Thank YOu. I've tried installing multiple kernels on both Distros and same error. azhockey Posted November 1, 2009 Share Posted November 1, 2009 IT LIVES!!!!... without video or network drivers but we're really getting somewhere Booted iatkos v7 with -v -f cpus=1 noapic and then it installed like a charm. But no wifi is really the Achilles heel here. (i installed the patch). So thanks again. Now i'm just working on Sound and Network. Ethernet Works but i need wireless for school. l3un1t Posted February 25, 2010 Share Posted February 25, 2010 HOLY BALLS i have the same exact specs as you, same problem, but i have no idea how to turn off the apic, as there is no option in my bios. How did you turn it off? I've searched for over a month and this is the only person that actually succeeded with my problem.
