AdamBeres Posted October 31, 2009 Share Posted October 31, 2009 i couldnt install hackintosh on my Asus P5QD Turbo motherboard.. ive tried with iatkos 10.5.2,10.5.4, 10.5.7; iPC 10.5.6, and none of them worked... it starts to boot from the dvd then the screen turns black then the computer restarts(with all distros).. ive tried with -f too but it doesnt work.. Anyone idea? My config is: Asus P5QD Turbo ,Intel Core2Quad Q9550, 2x2Gb ram, Gigabyte GeForce GTX260OC, 1x500gb WD(Win7 on it), 1x500gb Samsung HDD(for hackintosh)(both of them are SATA), 500W Power supply Thanks in advance! pitap Posted October 31, 2009 Share Posted October 31, 2009 Whats your SATA controller setting in BIOS? Try AHCI mode. And then if its still not working, boot with verbal mode using -v and then take a snap shot of the screen with ur digital camera. Post it up so we can maybe see to which point things go wrong. Oh and if u are overclocking, turn ur settings back to default, JUST IN CASE. P.S. Try post up your issue at infinite mac, they are "sometimes" quicker at responding ur post and help you out. I gave a try with ahci but it doesnt work.. but after that ive disabled apic and acpi in the bios and i could boot the installer and could install iatkos 10.5.7 (not with ahci) but windows 7 doesnt boot up with disabled acpi and apic... difficult situation... Maybe i need to reinstall Win7 too with these settings? Thanks in advance! Adam B.
