Hi!

I couldn't find anything about this mobo, does anybody know a distro or guide that would work on the MA770T-UD3P.

I so wanted to go with an Intel build but i just couldn't spend double $ for the same performance so I stayed with AMD.

Any osx86 info on this board is greatly appreciated.

Thank You!

I have tried IAtkos V7 and iDeneb 1.5.8 lite a couple of times but can't seem to boot into osx.

My specs:

GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

AMD Athlon II X4 620 Propus 2.6GHz with 4gig Ram Geforce 8800GT

Any ideas?

Thank You!

ok. got it no problem...

I was able to install ideneb 1.5.8 lite..

Got lucky all necessary kexts are included in the distrio

bios is set to ahci.

ideneb customization:

went with the default selections

and added 9.8.0 qoopz , mouselagfix ,AppleAzaliaAudio , ApplaAtiATA, Realtec8169/RTL8111 , NVKUSH for video.

Everything seems to work fine so far, but more testing needed...

hope it helps someone....

I can not get this thing to boot after install what so ever. It installs great after -x at the beginning.

I have tried 2 different partitions (journaled, and not journaled) i have tried it with both bootloaders and neither are working. I have bios set to ahci and have tried it with just ide set. My windows partition no longer boots either which annoyed me.

Specs:

iDeneb v1.6 lite

AHCI Enabled

OSX86 HDD is set to mbr

Gigabyte MA770t-UD3P

Phenom II 945

8GB RAM 1333

Geforce 8800GTX

If anyone has any ideas of how to get this thing to boot please let me know.

from whatever reason cameleon boot loader never installed properly at first,

so I booted with the install cd in the drive, once I was in osx i just downloaded the latest bootloader and everything worked fine. also try my config...

hope it helps...

I used your setting and the bootloader would never come up, with v1 or v2. It would only come up after i used the voodoo kernal. but everything else is just like your config. When i do boot into osx it hangs at a blue screen and if i -v it shows no errors and then hangs at a grey screen.

After you finished the installation boot the iDeneb DVD, press F8 and enter this (without the ""):

"rd=disk*disk you installed osx to*s*partition you installed osx to* busratio=20"

Example: "rd=disk0s3 busratio=20" if you installed OSX on the 3. partition on disk 0.

Hope this helps.

Hello Guys,

I`ve got a problem installing iDeneb 1.6 Lite at my machine with AMD Athlon II X4 620 and a Gigabyte GA MA770T UD3P mainboard.

If i boot with the options -v -x voodoo busratio=20 maxmem=2048 cpus=1 or others then it hangs up with a kernel panic which you can see at the end of this post.

My drive from which I want to install osx is an ide drive because with ahci enabled the dvd wont boot in my sata drive. without ahci enabled the installer hangs up earlier.

I dont know what I should do now. ^_^ But i definitly want mac osx on my machine because i know its very good because i had installed it on a intel system and now i changed my hardware to amd and it wont work. ;)

By the way: sorry for my bad english.

here is the picture with the kernel panic:

Don't you try with AMD. I had the same combination as you and couldn't do anything for couple of months. When i sell off AMD and bought Intel (P55) all my nightmares gone. Now i am using iPC 10.5.6 with 10.5.8 update and i am preparing to install Snow Leopard :) .

Buy the way, you have Kernel panic caused by unrecognized AHCI contoller ;) .

Sell AMD and buy some cheap Intel as msi P43-C51 and E6300 with your DDR3 and enjoy in all charms of Mac! (this msi and e6300 are the cheapest solution for me!)
