degm3ster
Hey people, first of thanks for a keeping this great community alive! I got an question about the Snowleopard installation. I have manage to get a (almost)fully working 10.5.8 system on this rig: Asus P5E3 deluxe wifi-ap (original bios) Support for LGA775 Intel Core 2 Quad and Core 2 Duo, supporting 1,333/1,066/800MHz FSBs along with future 45nm processors - Intel X38 Northbridge - Intel ICH9R Southbridge - Up to 8GB DDR3 800/1066/1333MHz memory in dual channel mode - Two PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (both x16 bandwidth) with support for ATI CrossFire - Two PCI Express x1 slots - Two 32-bit v2.3 Master PCI bus slots (support 3.3v/5v PCI bus interface) - One IDE port - Six SATA 3Gbps ports supporting RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5 or JBOD - ADI SoundMax ADI1988B High-Definition audio codec supporting 7.1 channel surround sound up to 32-bit/192KHz - Two Gigabit Ethernet provided by the PCI-Express Marvell 88E8056-NNC1 chipset and another on PCI provided by the Realtek RTL8110SC chipset - Agere IEEE1394a Firewire chipset - JMB363 chipset supplying one PATA port and two 3Gbps eSATA devices - Ralink RT2770F 802.11 Draft-n Wireless - Asus Lifestyle Features including AI Gear 3 CPU: Intel Core2Quad Q6600 originally 2.4 ghz but running at 3.0 ghz with FSB 333 Memory: 4 GB DDR3 1.33 ghz Graphics: XFX 8800gtx 768 mb Hardrive: 2x 500GB and 250GB splitted in half for dualbooting with XP Otherstuff: IDE DVD drive Everything worked beside the integrated WIFI card, but I think its fixable since it´s an Railink chipset. I wonder what installation technique would be the best for this rig, I know that the P5Q cards gets their bios modified and so on, but I doubt there is a modified bios for this card. What a procedure would you pro guys recommend? Sorry for taking your time, and hopefully its not a stupid post. Cheers and kind regards degm3ister Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/194471-p5e3-deluxe-wifi-ap-n-and-snowleopard/ Share on other sites

Ten2Pwr6
I've got this board too... Been running 10.5.4 through 10.5.8. Just upgraded it from 10.5.6 directly to 10.5.8 without issues. Presently, using FakeSMC, Disabler, NullCPUPM, OpenHaltRestart kexts as the main ones. A bunch others too. Would like to compare notes with other mobo users and "trim" and "optimize" my kexts. Overall thoughts with 10.5.8, few issues, except for a JMicron issue - but just haven't had the time to get around to it yet... not important. Unfortunately, I can not get Snow Leopard up (KP on boot, immediate). Tried installing to USB HD with FakeSMC and Disabler (not DSMOS). Will try the new Disabler and DSMOS sometime soon.
