hi, i'm trying to install the IPC Leopard on my Compaq Presario sr2150nx, but have had no success. I was wondering if anyone can give me a hand. I have a bootable DVD of it, but when i run the "-v" command, it always says "still waiting for root device" and if i dont use the "-v" it'll just go to the apple screen and stay there. the computer's specs can be found here http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/ca/en/ho/WF...3-79917661.html only difference is that i also have the Nvidia 8600GT o there

if anyone can help me out, i'd really appreciate it

it always says "still waiting for root device"

try formating the HDD to a HFS format.

get access to a mac and format the Drive to "Mac OS X Jornilist" or what eveer the actally type is.

format and put it back into the case and try the instal agian. i think i might be late but this i belived wil work cause that is what i did with my when i got this error!! ;)

you message mean the installer is having a hard time looking for you hdd and since you harddrive is not format to apple specs it is therefore it cant find it :).

hope this works..

i had the same problem on a intel atom D945gclf.
